Raising Awareness and Educating on Neurological Differences

Comprehensive Support Services

Our Activities
Past Activities
- We hosted 20 workshops and training sessions to raise awareness about autism spectrum disorders, engaging over 100 participants and stakeholders. These sessions aimed to deepen understanding of autism's characteristics, challenges, and strengths.
- Partner with schools, educational institutions, policymakers, and other stakeholders to advocate for inclusive education practices and influence the creation of inclusive policies, legislation, and funding initiatives.
- In 2022, we developed and distributed educational resources to five schools, enhancing awareness and promoting autism acceptance within the community.

- Continuing our workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns to educate the community on autism spectrum disorders.
- Collaborating with schools and educational institutions to provide support services, specialized teacher training, and personalized education plans.

Future Activities
- Expanding our workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns to reach a wider audience, while supporting autism research initiatives.
- Strengthening partnerships with schools, policymakers, and stakeholders to further advocate for inclusive education and the development of inclusive policies and legislation.
- Developing new educational resources and materials to meet evolving community needs. We plan to organize larger community events and social gatherings to foster belonging and acceptance, distributing these resources to over 50 schools and educational institutions, with a focus on our target populations, especially in Africa.
- Enhancing social inclusion and evidence-based practices by organizing more support groups and peer-to-peer networks to encourage connections and shared experiences. Additionally, we aim to establish Autism clubs in over 150 schools within our targeted communities.

Recipient Selection for Each Program
Community Empowerment Program
The selection process for recipients of autism support interventions is collaborative and considers multiple factors. Referrals from healthcare professionals, schools, and autism organizations, as well as self-referrals from individuals or their families, are all taken into account. A selection committee, comprised of autism experts, carefully reviews applications and recommendations to determine who will benefit most from the program. Key factors include the individual's specific needs, the level of support required, and the potential for growth and development within the program.
